Originally founded in 1980 as Takbukan, the Toronto Kendo Club is one of the oldest kendo clubs in the G.T.A.
Our motto is Ko Ken Chi Yu — create bonds through crossing swords.
We are a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization and member of the Canadian Kendo Federation and Kendo Ontario. We are conveniently located in central Toronto.
We accept new members with no experience 2 times a year. Beginner cohort starts in April and October.
Experienced people are welcomed to join any time of the year.
